This works wonderfully for detailing smaller pieces and the effect is comparable to what you'd get from a rattle can, but may not work as well covering larger pieces of plastic since you may end up with an uneven coat. If you have a steady hand though you could probably make a golden model kit using this bad boy alone haha (with mixed results, so I'd suggest sticking to painting pistons and smaller bits with this).
You can also press the tip down to release some of the ink as a flow for extra versatility.
I'd urge you to beware that the tip can fallout a spill ink everywhere, so make sure it's in all the way, and make sure to shake it for a while before using it!
Otherwise, the marker is easy to work with and this shade of gold will help add striking details to your model kit.
